USPS PostalOne! Mail.dat Client Update - June 13, 2024
The USPS® is requiring a PostalOne!® Mail.Dat® Client Update - Effective: June 30, 2024, to support the July 2024 Price changes.
For PostalOne! E-Doc submitters, the new Mail.dat client (60.0.0.0_PROD
) will be required after the release.
The Mail.dat Client can be downloaded from the USPS Business Customer Gateway (BCG) (Sign In to BCG → Click "Mailing Services" in the top left under BUSINESS CUSTOMER GATEWAY → Click "Go to Service" next to Electronic Data Exchange (PostalOne!) → Download the Mail.dat Client Application under Mail.dat Support for Production.

USPS Discontinuance of Hardcopy Postage Statements - Effective: January 28, 2024
The USPS is discontinuing Hardcopy postage Statements to improve efficiency and expedite acceptance of mail. All domestic commercial mailings must use appproved elecronic method to transmit mailings to PostalOne! with the exception of Electronic Verification System (eVS) mailings. Promotions & Incentives Support Added - October 30, 2023
Mailers Online will now generate the Component Characteristics Record Maildat file to support USPS Promotions and Incentives. The Component Characteristics Record (.CCR) Maildat file identifies the Content(C), Incentive(I), or Fee(F) of the Mailpiece.
In order to generate a Maildat(.CCR) file, please select the Characteristic Type and associated Characteristic from the drop-down menus provided.
Please note: Only ONE(1) Incentive discount can be claimed per mailing. Incentive discounts are applied to the Permit listed in the .MPA Maildat file upon upload to PostalOne!

- The "Select Postage Type" section has been moved from the Presort - "Sorting Options" tab to the Presort - "Mailer" tab under Permit Holder Information.
- ACS Codes Updated
- Presort - Mailer tab has been updated to include a "Mail Owner is same as Permit Holder" and "Mailing Agent is same as Permit Holder" checkbox under Mail Owner Information and Mailing Agent Information to auto populate permit holder information, when applicable.
