Service Discontinuation Advisory

Melissa plans to discontinue Presort Object on December 31, 2024. This is to provide enough time for our customers to find an alternative provider to integrate ito their current solution.

If you require an all-in-one presort software solution, please see the following products:

  1. Users who need an on-premise solution with the ability to customize mailings can migrate to Mailers+4 Desktop.

  2. Users who want the simplicity of minimal configuration can migrate to Mailers Online. No Installation necessary. A simple file upload and downloadable output.

USPS Discontinuance of Hardcopy Postage Statements - December 04, 2024

The USPS is discontinuing Hardcopy postage Statements to improve efficiency and expedite acceptance of mail. All domestic commercial mailings must use appproved elecronic method to transmit mailings to PostalOne! with the exception of Electronic Verification System (eVS) mailings.   • The USPS is starting to push for Mailers to use Seamless Acceptance. In order for you to participate in Seamless Acceptance we added a few new properties and a new Data file to the Presort Object.
  • The Properties will be:
    • POMLocaleKey - This property will be required and is a 9-digit code based on your Post Office of Mailing.
    • DDULocaleKey - This property is a 9-digit code based on the DDU you are taking your mail to. It will only be used for Standard Flat ECRRT mailings that are dropped off at the DDU.
    • DDUPostalCode - This property is the 9 digit zip code of the DDU post office. It will only be used for Standard Flat ECRRT mailings that are dropped off at the DDU.

  • The new data file is a Comma delimited file titled LocaleKey.csv. This new file will contain a list of every post office and its associated Locale Key. This file will be updated monthly along with all the other presort data files.

  • Build Compilation:

The USPS® is requiring a PostalOne!® Mail.Dat® Client Update - Effective: June 30, 2024, to support the July 2024 Price changes. For PostalOne!   • The new Mail.dat Client (57.0.0.0_PROD) can be downloaded from the USPS® Business Customer Gateway by clicking Sign in to the BCG to log in -> Click Mailing Services -> Click Go to Service next to Electronic Data Exchange (PostalOne!) -> Download the Mail.dat client application under Mail.dat Support for Production for your Operating System (32-bit or 64-bit).
