    • We have done a full review of all countries and their DST (Daylight Savings), UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), and Timezone values. This has resulted in the fixing and update of these values for a number of countries.
    • We have updated and improved our Suggestion engine that is currently in BETA. We have also expanded our list of countries we currently support.     • Australia

      • We have updated our engine to now handle addresses with Parcel locker information as specified by Australia Post.
      • Added over 300,000 non-postal address records to improve our non-postal coverage
      • Improved handling of extra information included with the address

      • We have updated our DependentLocality value for Austria to better align with postal data.
      • Improved Thoroughfare parsing

      • "Parish" qualifier now included in major localities

    • Canada

      • Fixed an issue where Unicode versions of certain punctuation used in place of the regular punctuation caused the address not to validate.
      • Fixed an issue where street numbers could be transposed in the validation process but no AC20 (premises change) code given. Now, the AC20 code will be returned.

      • Fixed the UTCDaylight value since Fiji no longer observes daylight savings

      • Fixed an issue where Niederroedern was not correctly recognized as a legitimate value for Niederrœdern
      • No longer returning DependentLocality for AV12 records that cannot be uniquely resolved to a single value
      • Improved spelling of localities that normally contain apostrophes

    • New Zealand

      New Zealand Post is one of the postal partners that Melissa leverages in our Address engine. However, like with many postal authorities, they don’t delivery to every physical address and there are some non-postal addresses that are left out of their data. In this update, we have added over 600 thousand non-postal addresses. This will give us complete coverage of the country.

      • Fixed an issue where GS (Geocode Status) codes were missing when the county was sent to the engine as input in the SubAdministrativeArea field.
      • Fixed an issue where Latitude and Longitude were being returned incorrectly for invalid addresses.
      • Fixed an issue where Unicode versions of certain punctuation used in place of the regular punctuation caused the address not to validate.
      • Non-postal records now return AddressType='X' to match other countries
      • Fixed an issue where multi-word street names containing the word box could be incorrected converted to po box
      • Improved logic to distinguish between Bay Front and Bay Ave in the same city.
      • Streetnames with missing spaces no longer trigger AC10 (thoroughfarename change)
      • We have updated our logic to handle some edge cases that resulted in the MelissaAddressKey value possibly changing for the same physical address
